What Do We Want To Fund?

We welcome applications that have the potential to improve employment outcomes for Black people with LTCs, via systems change. Over the two-year project, we will
distribute funding over several rounds. Applicants may apply for between £1,000 and £50,000 to deliver projects for up to 12 months[1].

The amount you can apply for will vary depending on whether you are applying as an individual or an organisation, your experience of delivering activities and other criteria
provided in Table 1.

We will use our £300,000 funding to support a range of projects that focus on different areas of activity that are likely to significantly improve the likelihood of meaningful employment for Black people with LTCs in Lambeth.

Our Employment Working Group sets the priorities for each funding cycle based upon research and information we gather from the wider community and stakeholders. We assess applications against two sets of criteria:

  • General criteria – applicable to all projects
  • Specific criteria – applicable to projects in this round of funding

All applications will be assessed both on our general criteria and specific criteria for the funding round. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a short interview with the Black Thrive team and Employment Working Group memberson either the 8th, 9th or 12th of April, for us to find out more information about your idea and to help us to decide if your idea will be funded.  

In exceptional circumstances, and with the agreement of the Employment Working Group, we will consider funding projects that meet our general criteria but do not meet the priorities set out in our specific criteria. We are keen to support a range of ideas that will improve Black people’s access to, and experience of, the workplace.
